On the left is the Climate Prediction Center's 3 month outlook with a continuation of the above normal temperatures over much of the country.
In Louisville, 11 of the last 13 months have had above normal temps.
The rainfall forecast is also above normal for the spring.
In past years, A weakening LaNina in the springtime usually means an active severe weather season. This was the case last year and is the forecast this year.
A number of experts say the core of the severe outbreaks this spring will be further north than last year with the bullseye over the mid-Mississippi valley into the Tennessee and Ohio valleys.
