I have been watching the dry slot over western Kentucky. I am not sure how far north this will go.
Areas in northern Kentucky and southern Indiana that do not dry slot will get an additional 3 to 5 inches overnight. Areas where the dry slot moves through will have lower amounts.
The top snow totals so far.....
Mt Vernon, IL 6"
portions of Indianapolis 5"
Anderson, IN 5"
1 to 2 inches has fallen in the northern suburbs of Louisville

John, one other observation. A nice surge of precip heading up I-65 out of Tennessee. This surge of moisture should help to fill in the dry slot some. Once we get into the comma head after 1am, I still expect several hours of descent snow with localized heavy banding.
...Mark, I was just looking at the regional radar and even if the dry slot doesnt fill in...it should stay near or just south of Louisville.....JB
