What in the world will people talk to me about now that the heat is gone? I can't tell you how many times I've been asked when the temperatures will finally break. And now that they have, it's a lot quieter around here... less complaining too :)
Today will be the coolest afternoon in almost two weeks with high temperatures actually coming in one degree BELOW normal for a change. Temperatures for the next seven days will be right around typical highs for this time of year.
We also have more chances for needed rainfall today and Thursday-Sunday. You only have a slight chance of rain today, but no risk of severe storms.
From the NWS... ISOLATED TO SCATTERED THUNDERSTORMS ARE EXPECTED TODAY AND
TONIGHT... MAINLY ACROSS SOUTH CENTRAL KENTUCKY. THE PRIMARY THREAT WITH THESE STORMS WILL BE BRIEF HEAVY RAINFALL...ESPECIALLY SOUTH OF THE WESTERN KENTUCKY AND BLUEGRASS PARKWAYS.

The humidity will gradually drop over the next few days, then slowly increase again starting Thursday. The cold front that moved through yesterday has stalled out just to the south of us, so our drier air is slower to move in. With that front still somewhat close to us, we still see the potential for some rain today and the clouds will stick around too.
