It is hot and dry for sure... Louisville is currently 103. Busted the old record of 98 earlier today.
Some of us have had some heavy rain amounts from spotty storms...especially last Sunday night. However, Louisville International has been mostly left high and dry. If no rain falls there today---they will fall below normal in rainfall for the YEAR for the first time in 2012.
Meanwhile, places to our west...like Paducah---now more than 14.00 below normal!
Here is the latest drought index, Louisville now listed in stage zero (abnormally dry) with stage one to two in the viewing area. Much worse in west KY where they are now in EXTREME drought.
