In for Christie today...so just a quick post this morning until later.
Most of the rain this early morning has been found across SE KY. It is drifting north, but it appears the main rain shield will stretch from about Green/Taylor Counties northeast into Lexington. North/West of that line...quiet now---but showers/storms will develop over that area as well.
HPC has the heaviest totals now through Sunday mainly across SE KY---but you can see decent amounts possible for everyone. Thought, it would be nice if that rain shield this morning were more west----it is a nice steady rain there.
Overall, storms will be off/on all day today and pretty much all weekend. It won't rain the entire time---but there will be some pockets of heavy rain to watch for.
Some have asked about the long term----it appears a battle is brewing between the GFS/EURO.
EURO says the risk for triple digit heat could return.
GFS says the NW flow will remain strong enough to keep the high heat west---with several storm chances locally.
This would be for the last week of July.
We will keep an eye on that.

Not good, obviously. We were cooked for almost 2 weeks, and now dry as a bone. I feel bad for the farmers, whose crops are taking a bad hit this year.
