WHAT A WEEKEND... Our friends on facebook and twitter posting how they felt about this weekends weather. Gorgeous to start the weekend and equally as nice to end it. Hopefully you enjoyed it because storm threat will increase to start the work week.
SLIGHT RISK...Of severe storms remains in place for the day tomorrow. We have a few things in place we'll keep a close eye on. We have an area of low pressure to our West with an attached cold and warm front. This set up will give us two rounds of storms tomorrow. The first one will arrive tomorrow afternoon as a warm front pushes through the area. Sometimes warm fronts can be tricky and pose a bigger severe threat potential than the cold front. While an isolated warning can't be ruled out tomorrow afternoon I don't expect this to be a major event. Daytime heating and instability will work against us tomorrow afternoon as the warm front approaches...but as the co0ld front reaches our area we'll lose the afternoon peak heating...working in our favor. As of now, storms look to develop after 8 pm tomorrow (for the cold front) in and around the metro area...earlier to our North and West and later to our South and East. Both rounds should they materialize don't appear to be overwhelingly significant but we'll watch it closely. Highs tomorrow will top out in the upper 80s and low 90s...warmest temps found between fronts.
