Looks like a break from the storms for about 48 hours ---before things get active again.
Next storm threat:
FRIDAY PM/NIGHT:
There will be a vort max that will move in from the west. Some debate the track of this ...will be across IN or TN or right over KY? That will impact the coverage of the storms on Friday.
SPC has us in the 5% risk for severe right now. Damaging winds the main issue there.
Saturday/Sunday will be both influenced by a cold front that will pass through over the weekend. Main timing looks to be Sunday---but a few storms would be possible as early as Saturday afternoon.
The front passes by on Sunday with some decent winds aloft---nothing off the chart.
So 2 storm events to monitor in the coming days. Otherwise---hot and humid.
Interesting trends continue to show up in the long-term pattern which will take us into the Fall. I will try to get that post wrapped up before the week ends. Stay tuned.
