A cold front will bring storms through WAVE Country today and tomorrow. Some of these storms could be severe... especially overnight. Damaging winds are the main threat, but we could also see hail, heavy downpours and intense lightning.
Timing of the storms:
THURSDAY
12pm-4pm: 30% storm chance
4pm-10pm: 40% storm chance
10pm-12am: 60% storm chance/ severe risk
FRIDAY
12am-3am: 70% storm chance/ severe risk
3am-6am: 50% storm chance
6am-8am: 30% storm chance
8am-12pm: 20% storm chance

SCATTERED THUNDERSTORMS WILL BE POSSIBLE ACROSS THE REGION...MAINLY
THIS AFTERNOON AND EVENING. THESE STORMS WILL CONTAIN VERY HEAVY
RAINFALL...GUSTY WINDS...SMALL HAIL...AND CLOUD TO GROUND
LIGHTNING.
SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS ARE EXPECTED TO BECOME MORE NUMEROUS
TONIGHT AS A STRONG COLD FRONT PUSHES THROUGH THE REGION. SOME OF
THE THUNDERSTORMS COULD BE STRONG TO SEVERE MAINLY FROM 10 PM
THROUGH 5 AM WITH DAMAGING WINDS THE PRIMARY THREAT. ADDITIONAL
THREATS WILL BE HEAVY RAINFALL AND INTENSE CLOUD TO GROUND
LIGHTNING.

Most areas should get a nice soaking from this system. The QPF has us around the 0.25" - 0.75" range; however, I think we will be closer to the quarter inch mark for most areas. Some of the stronger storms could have heavier rainfall.
