We had a mixture of rain/sleet /snow/ freezing rain... and everything in between last night, but roads were not too bad (for the most part) this morning. The temperatures stayed right around the freezing mark, so all the salt that the road crews put down was able to keep the roads from icing over. The salt trucks were out since yesterday afternoon and early evening working hard to make sure folks had a safer drive to work and school. Much appreciated!
We had very few school closings, but more 1 and 2 hour delays this morning. Henry and Meade County Schools were closed.
We have a nice gradual warm up this week with plenty of sunshine for Friday and Saturday. Enjoy it while it is here because the temperatures drop starting on Sunday. We could have the coldest temperature in two years by Tuesday morning, and it may even get colder the next day!
Here are some of the pictures of the wintry mix that were sent in to our WAVE 3 Weather facebook page.
