It's my pleasure to formally introduce to you the newest member of the WAVE 3 Storm Tracking Team. Meet Ryan Hoke. Ryan is a Louisville native who will be joining our accomplished team of degreed meteorologists this May. Ryan brings our team to six hometown meteorologists, which is one of the largest weather teams in the entire country. WAVE 3 has always placed a high value on weather - including accurate forecasting, the latest technology and the value of having hometown personalities who know weather and the area!

Ryan is a self-proclaimed weather geek just like the rest of us. He grew up in Louisville and attended Manual High School. He's been stopping by the station for years... first shadowing with John Belski and then with me. Most recent, Ryan was our intern and soon he'll take over weather duties on the weekend mornings. In addition, Ryan will offer graphical support to our team of weather experts and WAVE's marketing department. In the coming days you'll be seeing more of Ryan right here on the WAVE 3 Weather Blog!

Ryan has a passion for weather. As Tom Wills used to say, "We've been bitten by the weather bug". That's very true of Ryan who's produced weathercast from his home computer for years, maintains his own weather blog, drives hours each week to work Saturday morning weather in Jackson, Tennessee and helps lead storm chasing tours each Spring season with Storm Chasing Adventure Tours.

CONTINUING THE TRADITION
We look forward to continue leading the way when it comes to local weather in Kentuckiana.
As WAVE 3 celebrates 65 years as Kentucky's first television station... we're reminded of those who set the standards. Including: Bill Gladdin, Norm Lewis, Tom Wills & John Belski... and we've made the commitment to continue the tradition!
We're excited to welcome Ryan as a part of our team and hope you will welcome him back home too!
